The customization process begins with users selecting the gender and race for their avatar. Metanexus provides 16 diverse and fantastical races, each with its unique characteristics, abilities, and appearance. Once users have chosen their avatar's gender and race, they can begin customizing their appearance using the extensive customization options provided. Starting with the head, users can select from a variety of head shapes, hairstyles, and hair colors, as well as adjust hair length to achieve the desired look. Facial features, including eyebrows, eyes, mouth, ears, and nose, can be tailored to reflect the user's unique style through adjustments in shape and color.

The upper body customization options enable users to modify the neck length, shoulder width, lat size, shoulder size, traps size, chest size and shape, arm length, and hand size. The abdomen can also be customized with different sizes and bulges.
